Isn't He Perfect Belmont Odds
(The Spread) – After a disappointing effort in the Preakness, Isn’t He Perfect looks to rebound with a strong effort in the 2011 Belmont.
Odds: When the opening odds were released for the 2011 Belmont, Isn’t He Perfect was a 30/1 long shot and his odds haven’t improved. According to online sports book Bodog, Isn’t He Perfect is now 45/1 to win the Belmont, which gives him the worst odds of all contenders.
Race History: Looking at his most recent race history, it’s not surprising to see that Isn’t He Perfect is a 45/1 long shot. He finished ninth at the Preakness, fifth at the Grade 2 Jerome Hcp on April 23 and fifth at the Grade 1 Wood Memorial on April 9. Earlier this year, he finished sixth at the Grade 3 Gotham on March 5. Simply put, he has not been competitive this year.
Outlook: Not good. He got his name when his owner, Kharag Stables, said upon seeing him for the first time, “Isn’t he perfect?” But the 3-year-old colt has been far from perfect throughout his race career. Oddsmakers don’t give him much of a chance to win the Belmont and neither do most observers. There’s no harm in putting down a $2 wager on a long shot to see if you can’t get lucky. Just don’t set your expectations high when it comes to Isn’t He Perfect.
