World Cup Group G Odds
Brazil is always one of the contenders to win the World Cup and this year, they are the clear favorites to win Group G.
The 2010 World Cup takes place from June 11 through July 11 in South Africa. In each group, four teams will compete in a round robin format where each team plays each other once. The team with the best record will be considered the group winner.
Brazil has been given 11/20 odds win Group G according to the online sports book Sportsbook.com. Other odds to win are Portugal (5/2), Ivory Coast (9/2), and North Korea (100/1).
A 5-time World Cup champion, Brazil last won the title in 2002. Brazil has reached at least the round of 16 in the last nine World Cups. In 2006, Brazil reached the quarterfinals. In qualifying for this World Cup, Brazil went 9-2-7 with a goal differential of +22. Brazil opens play with North Korea.
Portugal has played in the last two World Cups, finishing fourth in 2006. Portugal is 9-0-3 in its last 12 games of world play. Portugal will open the World Cup against Ivory Coast.
The Ivory Coast played in its first ever World Cup in 2006, going 1-2-0 with give goals scored. It reached the 2010 World Cup thanks to a 1-1 draw with Malawi.
North Korea is playing in its second World Cup and its first since 1966. North Korea went 1-2-1 in tat appearance.
