Paraguay has played in the last three World Cups and reached the round of 16 in its last three. Paraguay has won at least one game in the last three World Cups. During qualifying, Paraguay went 10-5-3 with a goal differential of +8.
Slovakia is playing in its first World Cup after failing to qualify in its last three attempts. In three games leading up to the event, Slovakia is 1-1-1. Slovakia opens play with New Zealand.
New Zealand hasn’t played in the World Cup since 1982 where it went 0-3. New Zealand went 5-1-0 during qualifying for this event with a goal differential of +9.
