Group C of the 2010 World Cup features the United States but the favorite to win the group is England.
The 2010 World Cup takes place from June 11 through July 11 in South Africa. In each group, four teams will compete in a round robin format where each team plays each other once. The team with the best record will be considered the group winner.

England won the 1966 World Cup and it has reached the quarterfinals the last two times the event has taken place. England went 9-1-0 during qualifying for this event, and had a goal differential of +28. England opens World Cup play against the USA.
The United States went winless in the 2006 World Cup after reaching the quarterfinals in 2002. The U.S. has never won the World Cup. During qualifying, the U.S. went 6-2-2 with a goal differential of +6. The U.S. is 3-3 in its last six games.
Slovenia has never won a game in World Cup play, having played in just one back in 2002. Slovenia went 7-2-1 during qualifying this year and had a goal differential of +12. Slovenia opens play against Algeria.
Algeria has played in two World Cups and has two wins. The last World Cup it played in came in 1986. Algeria went 4-1-1 during qualifying with a goal differential of +5.
