Memorial Odds
The 2009 Memorial Tournament takes place Thursday, June 4 at Muirfield Village Golf Course in Dublin, Ohio and Tiger Woods is an 11/4 favorite.
Oddsmakers from online sports book Sportsbook.com have made Tiger Woods an 11/4 favorite to win the 2009 Memorial Tournament. Following Woods is Paul Casey at 14/1, Kenny Perry at 20/1 and Jim Furyk, Vijay Singh and Zach Johnson at 22/1. Perry is the current defending champ of the Memorial Tournament after winning the event last year.
Woods ranks No. 1 in the Official World Golf Rankings with a points total of 9.18 in 40 events. Casey is third with a 7.15 total ranking for 48 events and Geoff Ogilvy (who has 28/1 odds to win the Memorial Tournament) is fifth with a point total of 6.09 in 47 events.
Johnson is the current Regular Season FedExCup Points leader with 1,598 points in 14 events. Ogilvy is third with 1,1441 points in 11 events and Sean O’Hair (25/1 to win the Memorial Tournament) is fourth with 1,387 points in 12 events.
Despite being listed as the favorite to win the Memorial Tournament, Woods ranks 12th on the Regular Season FedExCup Points leader board with 949 points. He’s currently 649 points behind Johnson, although Woods has only played in six events this year, compared to Johnson’s 14.
