Nowhere to Hide Odds
UPDATE: Nowhere to Hide is officially out of the Belmont.
One of the relative unknowns in this year’s running of the Belmont Stakes is Nowhere to Hide, who is a massive 50/1 long shot to win Saturday’s race.
Oddsmakers from online sports book SPORTSBETTING.COM have made Nowhere to Hide a 50/1 long shot. The favorite for the 141st running of the Belmont Stakes is Mine That Bird, who has 4/3 odds to win. Dunkirk (9/2), Charitable Man (3/1), Chocolate Candy (13/1), Flying Private (18/1) and Mr. Hot Stuff (20/1) round out the rest of the top 5.
After the defection of Win Willy, Nowhere to Hide was entered into the 2009 Kentucky Derby, but the 3-year-old Bay Colt finished a disappointing 17th. He finished behind the winner Mine That Bird by one and one fourth miles.
If you like long shots, then either Nowhere to Hide or Luv Gov are your horses. Neither is expected to have a great showing, but then again, Mine That Bird was also a 50/1 long shot to win the Kentucky Derby and he did just that. Sloppy conditions may help a contender like Nowhere to Hide, so keep an eye on the weather leading up to the race.
The 141st running of the Belmont Stakes will take place on Saturday, June 6 at Belmont Park in Elmont, New York. For more information on this year’s race, check out our 2009 Belmont Stakes Viewing Guide.
