Luv Gov Odds
The 141st running of the Belmont Stakes is quickly approaching and if you like massive long shots, than contender Luv Gov might be your horse this weekend.
Oddsmakers from online sports book SPORTSBETTING.COM have made Luv Gov a 50/1 long shot. Luv Gov has the worst odds to win the 2009 Belmont.
There’s a good reason why Luv Gov is a huge long shot to win the Belmont; he’s only won once in 10 races and outside of an impressive showing in the Maiden Special Weight the day before the Kentucky Derby, he seems to be out of his league when it goes to Grade I racing.
In his most recent race, Luv Gov finished an uninspiring eighth at the Preakness Stakes on May 9. But his trainers feel very optimistic that Luv Gov can surprise in the final leg of the Triple Crown and don’t forget, Kentucky Derby winner Mine That Bird was a 50/1 long shot himself before claiming victory at Churchill Downs this year. Anything can happen.
The 141st running of the Belmont Stakes will take place on Saturday, June 6 at Belmont Park in Elmont, New York. For more information on this year’s race, check out our 2009 Belmont Stakes Viewing Guide.
