Danica Patrick Indy 500 Odds
INDIANAPOLIS, IN (TheSpread) – She is one of the most recognizable drivers in all of Formula 1, and now Danica Patrick looks to win the biggest race of all, the Indianapolis 500.
According to oddsmakers at online sports book Bodog.com, Patrick has 25/1 odds to win this year’s Indianapolis 500.
Patrick will start the race in Row 9, in the 26th position. Only twice in the history of this race has a driver won when starting from Row 9 and the driver that starts in 26th position has never won the race in its history.
This year marks the worst starting position Patrick has had in her Indy 500 career. Last year Patrick started 23rd but finish sixth. In six career Indy 500 appearances, she has finished in the top 8 in five of those races. Her best finish was third back in 2009 while her worst performance was 22nd in 2008.
This season, Patrick has really struggled. She has just one top 10 and is currently 15th in the point standings. Patrick’s last and only win came in 2008, when she won in Japan.
The Indianapolis 500 will take place Sunday, May 29 from the Indianapolis Motor Speedway at Noon ET. The race will air on ABC.
