Rampage vs. Evans

The main event of Saturday’s card is a No. 1 contender’s match in the UFC Light Heavyweight Division as rivals Quinton “Rampage” Jackson (30-7) and Rashad Evans (19-1-1) square off. This fight is pretty tough to call as oddsmakers have Evans as a slight favorite with a line of -130 and Jackson has been given an even money line. The winner of the fight will get the next shot at current champion Mauricio “Shogun” Rua. Jackson and Evans have been in many heated exchanges since Jackson’s last fight at UFC 96, where the two got face-to-face. The duo was then selected to coach the Ultimate Fighter Season 10 where they again had many altercations and traded barbs weekly. This fight was supposed to take place last December, but Jackson had to delay it so he could film “The A-Team”. Now, the fight is set to take place and it should be a war.

Middleweight Contest

In the co-main event, UFC middleweights Michael Bisping (19-3) and Dan Miller (11-3) will meet. This fight doesn’t have any major impact to it as the original co-main event of Antonio Rogerio Nogueira and Forrest Griffin was scrapped due to an injury to Griffin. Really, this is just an average main card bout. Odds have Bisping as the favorite with a betting line of -165 while Miller comes in at +135. This fight should be a good mix of striking and grappling, but Bisping should be able to out-class the inexperienced Miller.
