Indianapolis 500 Odds
The running of the Indianapolis 500 is set to take place this weekend. Here’s a look at the latest odds to win this year’s annual classic.
The Indianapolis 500 is a 500-mile race that will be held at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The race takes place today on Sunday at 11AM ET and will air live on ABC. According to oddsmakers, Alexander Rossi is favored to win this race, as he is listed with 8/1 odds. Other short odds to win are Helio Castroneves (9/1), while four others have 10/1 odds to win.
Rossi is the 2016 winner of this race, which was his debut in the Indy 500. He followed that up in 2017 with a seventh-place finish. Rossi has finished in the top 5 in four of the five IndyCar races this year, including one victory.
Castroneves is a three-time winner of the Indy 500, with the last victory coming in 2009. He also finished second in 2017 and 2014. He has competed in just one race this year, which was a sixth-place finish at Indy’s road course.
Of the drivers with 10/1 odds, Scott Dixon and Ryan Hunter-Reay are the only former winners. Dixon won in 2008 while Hunter-Reay won in 2014.
