French Open Women's Odds


PARIS, FRANCE (TheSpread) – The 2013 French Open is the next grand slam on the tennis schedule, and it begins on Monday. Here is a look at the odds to win the women’s singles title.

According to oddsmakers at, Serena Williams is the favorite to win this title, as she has 5/4 odds to win. Other short odds to win are Sara Errani (15/11) and Maria Sharapova (4/1).

Williams is a one-time winner of the French Open, last winning in 2002. Williams has won a total of 15 grand slam singles titles in her career, but she hasn’t reached the finals of the French Open since her 2002 victory.

Errani has never won the French Open or a grand slam title in her career. She did finish runner-up in last year’s French Open, but that is her only grand slam final in her career.

Sharapova has won four grand slam titles in her career, including the 2012 French Open. She has reached at least the semifinals in six of her last eight grand slam tournaments.
