PARIS, France (TheSpread) – The 2014 French Open is set to get under way this weekend. Here is a look at the odds to win the women’s title this year.

According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Serena Williams is the favorite to win this event, as she has 6/5 odds. Other short odds to win are Maria Sharapova (4/1) and Li Na (5/1).

Williams is a two-time French Open winner. She is also the defending champion of the event. Williams has won 17 grand slam events and four of the last seven grand slam events.

Sharapova is a four-time grand slam event winner and a one-time French Open victor. She won her title in 2012 and finished runner-up last year. She has reached the finals in three of her last eight grand slam tournaments.

Li Na is a two-time grand slam event winner, including the 2011 French Open. She is also coming off a win in the Australian Open this year. She has only reached the finals in two of her last nine grand slam events.
