NFC Division Odds

The NFC has a lot of interesting questions for 2010, starting with the probable return of Minnesota’s Brett Favre. Find out how he’s affecting the division odds at BroburySports.com.

NFC East

Dallas may have the most talented team in the conference, but still has to learn how to win in the playoffs. The Giants need to get back to their running game and stout defense to regain past glory. Philadelphia would be rated higher if not for the trade of Donovan McNabb. Washington picked McNabb up, but is still a clear fourth in the division.

Dallas Cowboys 6/5

New York Giants 5/2

Philadelphia Eagles 5/2

Washington Redskins 7/1

NFC North

Green Bay is the slight favorite, but its defense still has a lot of question marks. Oddsmakers have to believe that Favre is coming back, otherwise they would be at least 3/1. Chicago seems like a reach at 11/4, especially considering the offensive problems of a year ago. Detroit will win four games max.

Green Bay Packers 6/5

Minnesota Vikings 8/5

Chicago Bears 11/4

Detroit Lions 20/1

NFC South

New Orleans has had off-the-field problems, including with coach Sean Payton, but they deserve to be the favorite. Atlanta seems like the only team that can realistically challenge them in the division. The Falcons do need to stay healthy though. I’m not as high on Carolina as other people, and no one likes Tampa Bay!

New Orleans Saints 4/7

Atlanta Falcons 8/5

Carolina Panthers 9/1

Tampa Bay Buccaneers 25/1

NFC West

San Francisco is a serious favorite, much more than most people expected. Arizona has dropped due to the retirement of Kurt Warner, but there are recent rumors that he could pull a Favre and play this season. That’s still a long shot though. Pete Carroll and Seattle are a darling pick of some, while St. Louis is the longest of long shots.

San Francisco 49ers 4/5

Arizona Cardinals 5/2

Seattle Seahawks 3/1

St. Louis Cardinals 15/1
