Preakness Head-to-Head Odds
BALTIMORE, MD (The Spread) - The 2013 Preakness Stakes is today and oddsmakers have compiled head-to-head matchups for today's race.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, Kentucky Derby winner Orb remains a favorite at 10/11. Departing has the next best odds at 7/1 while Mylute is 8/1 and Goldencents is 9/1. Both Governor Charlie and Itsmyluckyday are both 10/1, respectively, while Will Take Charge is 12/1. Oxbow is 18/1 and Titletown Five has the longest odds at 33/1.
As previously mentioned, Bovada.lv also lists matchup odds for some of the horses. For example, they've pitted Goldencents versus Itsmyluckyday in a head-to-head matchup, with the odds on both horse listed at -115, respectively. Whichever horse finishes ahead of the other is the winner.
While Goldencents is even with Itsmyluckyday, he's a favorite to beat Will Take Charge at -130 to EVEN. Goldencents is also -115 against Governor Charlie, who is also -115 in that specific matchup.
Itsmyluckyday is -125 to beat Will Take Charge (-105) and -115 to beat Governor Charlie (-115). Will Take Charge, meanwhile, is -105 to beat Governor Charlie, who is favored at -125 in that specific head-to-head matchup.
Oxbow is a huge favorite over Titletown Five at -200 to +160, while Orb is -230 to finish ahead of Departing, who is +190. Orb is also a massive -230 favorite over Mylute (+190) and a -400 favorite to finish ahead of Goldencents (+300).
Speaking of Mylute, he's -105 to beat Departing, who is favored at -125. Mylute is also -150 to beat Goldencents (+120), who is +155 to beat Departing (-190).
