(The Spread) – We continue our look at the 2011 Preakness Stakes by breaking down the odds for contender Isn’t He Perfect.

Odds: When oddsmakers from online sports book SBGGLOBAL.com released the opening odds for this year’s Preakness, Isn’t He Perfect wasn’t part of the field. But now that Nehro has been scratched from Saturday’s race, Isn’t He Perfect is listed among the long shots at +2500 on the money line.
Race History: One thing that won’t hold Isn’t He Perfect back on Saturday is race experience, as he will be making his 13th career start and his seventh of 2011 when he races this weekend at Pimlico. In his last outing, he finished fifth at the Grade 2 Jerome Hcp on April 23 behind (among others) Adios Charlie, Astrology and Justin Phillip. He also took fifth at the Grade 1 Wood Memorial on April 9 and sixth at the Grade 3 Gotham on March 5. He has yet to finish in the money in a graded stakes.
Outlook: Isn’t He Perfect won’t have much pubic backing considering he wasn’t even a part of the field until Nehro was scratched on Tuesday. He does have a ton of racing experience but again, he has yet to finish in the money against graded competition. A pair of fifth place finishes in his last two outings won’t endure him to public bettors, not with other sleepers like Norman Asbjornson (+1400) to keep an eye on.
