Teeth of the Dog Preakness Odds
BALTIMORE, MD (The Spread) – 2012 Preakness Stakes contender Teeth of the Dog is considered a long shot to win this Saturday’s race, although he has yet to finish out of the money.
According to oddsmakers, Teeth of the Dog is 20/1 to win this weekend’s Preakness Stakes. He has the same odds as Tiger Walk and Zetterholm, whom like Teeth of the Dog did not participate in this year’s Kentucky Derby. Bodemeister and I’ll Have Another are the co-favorites to win the Preakness, as they have 3/1 odds to win, respectively.
Teeth of the Dog has only completed in four career races but he has yet to finish out of the money in any race. He’s coming off a third place finish at the Grade I Wood Memorial on April 7 and before that, he won a MSW on February 4 at Gulfstream Park.
Teeth of the Dog has an official race record of 4-1-1-2 and has grossed $136,450 in total earnings over his career. The 3-year-old colt is a sire of Bluegrass Cat and a dam of Deputy Reality, and has been confirmed to race in this Saturday’s Preakness Stakes.
This will be the 137th running of the Preakness Stakes, which was inaugurated in 1873. It’s a 1 3/16 (9.5 furlongs) race and carries a purse of $1 million. The Gates at Pimlico Race Course will open at 8:00AM ET and the Preakness post time is set for 6:05PM ET.
