Spanish Grand Prix Predictions
The Formula 1 Series continues its 2018 season on Sunday morning with the running of the Spanish Grand Prix. Which drivers will be the top contenders to win this race?
The Spanish Grand Prix takes place Sunday at 9AM ET from Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. The race is a 190-mile contest that will run 66 laps around the track. According to oddsmakers, Sebastian Vettel and Lewis Hamilton are co-favored to win, as each is listed with +150 odds. Four other drivers are listed with +900 odds to win.
48002 Lewis Hamilton +150
Hamilton is a two-time winner of this race and the defending champion. He is coming off his first victory of the year two weeks ago and has finished in the top 4 in all four F1 races this year. Hamilton is always a top contender to win and I would expect him to be the man to beat again on Sunday morning.
48001 Sebastian Vettel +150
Vettel won this race back in 2011. He finished third in 2015 and 2016 while placing second in 2017. Vettel has two wins already this year, but finished outside the top 3 in the other two. He can go through some streaks in the series, but still is the biggest threat to Hamilton’s domination of the series.
48005 Max Verstappen +900
Verstappen hasn’t had a lot of success in his F1 career, but he did finish first in this race in 2016. Toward the end of last year, he broke out with a few wins and finished in the top 5 in six straight races. This year, Verstappen hasn’t been outstanding this year, finishing fifth or worse in all four races. Still, I think he can breakout on Sunday at a track he has some good history at.
