The days are changing, but Lee Westwood is maintaining his spot on top of the leader board in the 2010 Players Championship.
While Saturday wasn’t his best day, Westwood still sits one shot ahead of Robert Allenby heading into Sunday’s final round, and Westwood is still the favorite to win the event.
Westwood has been given 11/8 odds win according to the online sports book Sportsbook.com. Other short odds to win are Robert Allenby (4/1), Lucas Glover (8/1), and Ben Crane (10/1).
Westwood sits at -14 for the tournament after shooting a 2-under 70 on Saturday. He had an eventful front nine where he birdied three holes and bogeyed two, but then had a quiet back nine with eight pars and one birdie.
Allenby shot a 5-under 67 on Saturday to get up to -13 for the tournament. Allenby started his round with a bogey and had three for the round, but also had six birdies and one eagle. Allenby finished his day with an eagle on No. 16, a birdie on No. 17, and a par on No. 18.
Glover shot a 3-under 69 on Saturday to put himself tied for third at -12 along with Crane and Francesco Molinari. Glover pared his first eight holes before recording a birdie on No. 9. Glover then birdied three holes on the back nine along with one bogey.
Crane shot a 4-under 68 on Saturday to land at -12. Crane pared his first 10 holes before finishing his last eight with four birdies, including a birdie on No. 18.
Phil Mickelson shot a 6-under 66 on Saturday to jump up to -9 for the tournament. He is tied for 11th with three other golfers and his odds have moved up to 14/1.
Tiger Woods shot a 1-under 71 on Saturday and is 10 shots off the lead at -4 for the tournament. Woods is tied for 45th overall and is no longer individually listed in the odds to win.
