Oddsmakers from online sports book SBGGLOBAL.com have made Pants On Fire –120 on the money line versus Brilliant Speed, who is –110. Pants On Fire is also +600 to win the Kentucky Derby, while Brilliant Speed is +2000.

Pants On Fire has been a steady riser throughout the week. He opened the week at +2800 but has steadily dropped since. He was +1800 on Friday and now sits at +600. This is a horse that is as healthy as he’s been in his career and he’s coming off a victory at the Louisiana Derby.

Meanwhile, Brilliant Speed has also found a fair amount of success this year. He finished second at Dania Beach on January 16 before placing third at Hallandale Beach on February 6. In his latest race, he won the Blue Grass (Grade 1) over fellow Kentucky Derby contender Twinspired.

If the line movement has anything to say about this matchup, it would appear as though Pants On Fire is a nice value at –120 to finish higher than Brilliant Speed. If Pants On Fire’s odds went from +2800 earlier this week all the way down to +600 on Saturday, then clearly some sharps have taken notice. And considering Brilliant Speed is still considered one of the midrange long shots, again, Pants On Fire at –120 could be a nice buy.
