Vinceremos Kentucky Derby Odds
CHURCHILL DOWNS, KY (The Spread) - One of the long shots in this year's Kentucky Derby is Vinceremos, who is currently 50/1 to win.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, Vinceremos is 50/1 to win the 2014 Kentucky Derby, which give him the worst odds in the field. That said, he isn't alone, as Harry's Holiday is also a 50/1 long shot. California Chrome remains the favorite at 9/4, while Wicked Strong is currently 7/1 and Danza is 17/2.
Vinceremos had a rough outing at the Grade I Blue Grass on April 12 when he finished 14th. It was a frustrating outing for the horse's trainer and owners considering that Vinceremos was so good in his previous starts. He finished second in the Tampa Bay Derby behind Ring Weekend and won the Grade III Sam F. Davis, both of which were on dirt.
As if his latest start wasn't bad enough, Vinceremos also drew a horrible post position on Wednesday, if you value the trends, that is. He'll come out of the No. 9 post, which hasn't produced a winner in the Kentucky Derby since Riva Ridge accomplished the feat in 1972. That's the only time since 1970 that the No. 9 post has hosted a winner.
The 2014 Kentucky Derby will take place on Saturday, May 3 at 6:24PM ET (post time).
