Rousing Sermon Derby Odds
LOUISVILLE, KY (The Spread) – 2012 Kentucky Derby contender Rousing Sermon will be listed among the long shots at this Saturday’s race from Churchill Downs.
According to oddsmakers Rousing Sermon is a 50/1 long shot to win this Saturday while Bodemeister is a 4/1 favorite. Union Rags has the next best odds at 7/2 while Gemologist is 6/1 and Dullahan is 8/1.
Rousing Sermon is coming off a third place finish at the Grade II Louisiana Derby on April 1 and placed fifth at the Grade II San Felipe on March 10. He also finished third at the Grade II Robert B. Lewis on February 4 and second at the Grade I CashCall Futurity o December 17 of last year.
Larry and Marianne Williams of Tree Top Ranches are the owners of Rousing Sermon while Jerry Hollendorfer is his trainer and Jose Lezcano is his jockey. Rousing Sermon drew the No. 7 post position on Wednesday, which has won the Kentucky Derby eight times since 1900.
