I'll have another 2012 kentucky derby odds preview horse racing profiles

LOUISVILLE, KY (The Spread) – With victories in each of his last two outings, I’ll Have Another looks to upset the field this weekend at the 2012 Kentucky Derby.

According to oddsmakers, I’ll Have Another is currently 15/1 to win the 2012 Kentucky Derby. Bodemeister and Union Rags are 7/2 favorites, respectively, while Gemologist has the next best odds at 7/1 and Dullahan is 8/1.

I’ll Have Another is coming off a victory at the Grade I Santa Anita Derby on April 7. While he finished a disappointing sixth at the Grade I Hopeful on September 5 of last year, he rebounded to win the Grade II Robert B. Lewis on February 4. In two outings last year, he finished first at a MSW on July 3 and second at the Grade II Best Pal on August 7.

J. Paul Reddam is the owner of I’ll Have Another, while Doug O’Neill is his trainer and Mario Guiterrez is his jockey. O’Neill has trained three Breeders Cup races while Guiterrez won the Santa Anita Derby and Robert B. Lewis stakes aboard I’ll Have Another on April 7 and February 4, respectively.

The 2012 Kentucky Derby is set for Saturday, May 5 at Churchill Downs in Louisville, Kentucky. The post positions will be drawn on Wednesday and we’ll have coverage leading up to the race on Saturday so make sure you check out The Spread for more horse racing content.
