Ocho Ocho Ocho Kentucky Derby Odds
CHURCHILL DOWNS, KY (The Spread) - Ocho Ocho Ocho will enter Saturday's race at Churchill Downs as one of the long shots to win the 2015 Kentucky Derby.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, Ocho Ocho Ocho is a 50/1 long shot to win the Kentucky Derby while American Pharoah is the current favorite at 9/4. Dortmund is also 9/2 to win on Saturday, while Carpe Diem is 7/1 and Materiality and Mubtaahij are 12/1, respectively.
Ocho Ocho Ocho is coming off a third-place showing in the Blue Grass Stakes on April 4. He finished behind only Carpe Diem and Danzig Moon, both of which will compete in the Kentucky Derby on Saturday. It was a much better effort for Ocho Ocho Ocho, who finished eighth in his previous start (the Grade 2 San Felipe Stakes).
Before his issues at the San Felipe Stakes, Ocho Ocho Ocho won three consective starts to open his career. After winning a MSW on October 11 of last year, he won the Juvenile Turf Sprint in November and also took first in the Grade 3 Delta Downs Jackpot.
On Wednesday, Ocho Ocho Ocho drew the rail, which hasn't produced a winner in the Kentucky Derby since 1986 (Ferdinand). That said, the No. 1 spot has won 12 times in the Kentucky Derby all-time.
