Goldencents Kentucky Derby Odds
CHURCHILL DOWNS, KY (The Spread) – Coming off a victory at the Santa Anita Derby, Goldencents will look to finish in the money at the 2013 Kentucky Derby this Saturday.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, Goldencents is 7/1 to win this weekend’s Kentucky Derby. As previously mentioned, he’s coming off a win at the Santa Anita Derby and is now one of the frontrunners to win the Kentucky Derby along with Verrazano (7/2) and Orb (5/1)
Goldencents’ trainer is Doug O’Neill and his jockey is Kevin Krigger, who is now a regular on the Southern California racing circuit. Goldencents has earned 129 points and has collected $758,000 in total earnings.
On April 6 Goldencents won the Grade I Santa Anita Derby and on March 9 he finished fourth at the Grade II San Felipe at Santa Anita Park. He also won back-to-back races on November 17 (Delta Downs Jackpot Stakes) of last year and on January 5 (Sham). In his first career outing, he placed second at the Grade I Foxwoods Champagne from Belmont Park on October 6, 2012.
The 2013 Kentucky Derby will take place this Saturday, May 4 at 6:24PM ET (Post Time). The current favorite is Verrazano at 7/2, while Orb is 5/1 and Revolutionary is 7/1. Normandy Invasion is 8/1, Itsmyluckyday is 12/1 and Vyjack is 15/1.
