Monday’s Betting Values
(The Spread) – As the NHL and NBA playoffs roll on, there are a couple of totals that offer bettor’s value tonight.
Los Angeles Kings vs. St. Louis Blues, 9:00PM ET
The under is 3-0-1 in the last four meetings between these two teams in St. Louis and 7-0-1 in the last eight meetings overall. The under is also 3-0-3 in the Blues’ last six games as a home favorite, 4-0-2 in their last six playoff games as a favorite and 4-0 in the Kings’ last four games overall. As we pointed out on Saturday in Game 1 of this series, with the way these two teams play defense (and with the lack of scoring on both sides), the under is such a great value when these two clubs meet.
NHL TOTAL VALUE: UNDER 5
Orlando Magic vs. Indiana Pacers, 7:30PM ET
The Magic are 4-0 against the spread in their last four games in Indiana and 6-1 against the number in their last seven contests versus the Pacers. The underdog is also 4-1 against the spread in the last five meetings between these two teams while the road team is 4-1 in that same span. Without Dwight Howard the Magic will have a tough go of things in this opening round series. But we expect them to show some fight, especially against a team they’ve had plenty of success with in the recent past.
NBA VALUE PLAY: ORLANDO MAGIC +9
Los Angeles Dodgers vs. Colorado Rockies, 8:40PM ET
Te Dodgers are 40-16 in their last 56 games and 20-9 in their last 29 road games. They’re also 15-6 in their last 21 games as a road underdog and 20-8 in their last 28 games versus division rivals. The Rockies, meanwhile, are 6-14 in their last 20 games versus the National League West and 4-10 in their last 14 contests versus Game 1 of a series.
MLB VALUE PLAY: LOS ANGELES DODGERS +130
New York Knicks vs. Miami Heat, 7:00PM ET
The under is 4-0-1 in the last five meetings between these two teams in Miami and 7-0-1 in the last eight meetings overall. The under is also 4-0 in the Knicks’ last four playoff games as an underdog, 5-1 in their last six games versus the Southeast and 6-2 in their last eight games playing on one day of rest. On the flip side, the under is 5-0 in the Heat’s last five games as a favorite and 22-4 in their last 26 games playing on one day of rest.
NBA TOTAL VALUE PLAY: UNDER 184
