According to oddsmakers at online sports book, Will Power is the favorite to win this race with 13/10 odds. Other short odds to win this race are Dario Franchitti (9/2), Helio Castroneves (7/1), and Scott Dixon (7/1).

Power won last year’s race, which was the inaugural race. He was nearly two seconds ahead of the runner-up. Power is second in the current standings, seven points behind Franchitti for the lead. Power has one win this year.

Franchitti finished outside the top 5 in this event last year but he is the current points lead by seven points and he has one win on the year.

Helio Castroneves also did not finish in the top 5 of last year’s race. This year Helio has struggles, sitting 14th in the standings.

Scott Dixon sits seventh in the current standings. He is 66 points out of first and winless on the year and he also finished outside the top 5 in 2010 race in Sao Paulo.
