Steve Stricker 12/1

Stricker has finished in the top 11 of this event in two of the last three years. After placing outside the top 20 in his last two events, Stricker is due to bounce back this week as he had finished inside the top 20 in nine of his previous 11 tournaments prior to this recent funk. Stricker is clearly the top player in the field bases on ranking and recent success, so putting your money on him can’t be a bad idea.

Charles Howell 25/1

Howell isn’t a tremendous player, but he has a lot of success at this course, finishing second in 2009 and 2006. Ranked just 90th in the world, Howell has still finished inside the top 30 in 10 of his last 12 events, so at 25/1 and his string of success at this course, he could be a nice play this weekend.

Steve Marino 25/1

Like Howell, Marino isn’t a real attention grabber, but he placed fifth in this event a year ago and has finished inside the top 15 in three straight events to go along with two other top five’s in 2010. Marino is having a great year and at 25/1, he is a strong play for the weekend.

The 2010 Zurich Classic of New Orleans will be played at the TPC of Louisiana in Avondale, Louisiana starting on Thursday, April 22 and concluding Sunday, April 25.
