Chinese Grand Prix Predictions
The Formula 1 Series continues its 2018 season early on Sunday morning with the running of the Chinese Grand Prix. Which drivers will be the top contenders to win this race?
The Chinese Grand Prix takes place Sunday at 2AM ET from Shanghai International Circuit. The race is a 305-mile contest that will run 56 laps around the track. According to oddsmakers at YouWager, Sebastian Vettel is the current favorite, as he is getting odds of -175 to win. Other short odds to prevail are Lewis Hamilton (+300) and Kimi Raikkonen (+600).
61002 Sebastian Vettel -175
Vettel won this race back in 2009 and he is looking to continue his tremendous start in 2018. Through two races, Vettel has won both and is leading the point standings over Hamilton. Vettel is off to his best start in the series since 2011, when he won 11 races and claimed the series title. Today he should certainly be near the front of the pack and be able to compete for the win.
61001 Lewis Hamilton +300
Lewis Hamilton has won this race more than anyone. He is a five-time winner and the defending champion of the Chinese GP. The four-time F1 series champion has finished second and third in the two races this season, respectively, and could use a win to get back the momentum from his 2017 year where he won nine races. Though Vettel is the favorite, Hamilton seems like the guy to beat based on his history at the track.
61005 Valtteri Bottas +1000
Bottas has some longer odds today, but he seems like a contender if Vettel and Hamilton are unable to get the job done. He is coming off a runner-up finish last week at Bahrain and is currently third in the point standings. He also finished in the top 3 in 13 races last year, so he knew how to keep pace with those two in 2017. I think he can do the same today.
