LONG BEACH, CA (TheSpread) – The 2011 IRL Series heads to California this weekend for the running of the Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach.

According to oddsmakers at online sports book Sportsbook.com, Will Power is the favorite to win with 6/5 odds. Other short odds to win this race are Dario Franchitti (4/1), Helio Castroneves (7/1), and Scott Dixon (7/1).

Power won this event in 2008 and he is the current points leader as he has a 7-point edge on Franchitti. Power has finished in the top three of this race the last three years.

Franchitti won this race in 2009. He finished 12th in last year’s race, but he already holds a win this season through two races.

Castroneves won this event in 2001. He has not finished in the top 5 over the last three years however. This year he has started slow, as he is 11th in the point standings, 56 out of the lead.

Dixon is currently fourth in the point standings. He is 40 points behind Power. Dixon has finished in the top five in this event just one time in the last three races.
