Masters Prop Wagers
The Masters U.S. Golf Tournament is set to kickoff Thursday, April 9 and run through Sunday, April 12. Let’s take a look at some of the prop odds and unusual wagers for the 2009 Masters Tournament.
Oddsmakers from online sports book SBG Global have established some prop odds around the 2009 Masters tournament, including whether or not the tournament will be decided by a playoff, what the winning margin of victory will be and whether or not there will be a hole in one.
In the history of the Masters, tournament play has only gone to a playoff 13 times, which is why it’s easy to see oddsmakers make “Yes” for a playoff at +260 and “No” for a playoff at –330. However, it might not be a bad bet considering The Masters have gone to a playoff twice in the last six years (2005 and 2003).
In the past three years, the margin of victory has been 3 (Trevor Immelman in 2008), 2 (Zach Johnson in 2007) and 2 (Phil Mickelson in 2006). So at +350, 2 for a margin of victory would be a great value bet.
