2010 Masters Picks
The 2010 Masters begins play on Thursday and our team of writers and handicappers have three suggest picks for this weekend’s major championship.
Tiger Woods 3/1
Woods is always someone you have to strongly to consider in each tournament he plays in. Despite the long layoff, Woods has plenty of determination to win a major championship this weekend. As a four-time winner of the Masters and someone who has made the cut in every Masters since 1996. He has placed in the top six in his last four Masters and finished runner up twice in those four years. Look for Woods to at least contend in his triumphant return to competitive golf.
Phil Mickelson 7/1
Mickelson has won this event two times and he has made the cut in each Masters since 1997. In that span he has finished in the top 10 12 times. Mickelson has struggled in 2010, finishing outside the top 10 in all but one event, his strong history at Augusta leads us to believe that he will be in contention come Sunday.
Tim Clark 66/1
If you are looking for a real dark horse this weekend, look no further than Tim Clark. The South Africa native has long odds to win because he hasn’t won a major championship, but Augusta has been somewhat kind to hm. He finished runner up in 2006 and finished 13th in 2009, 2007, and 2003. Clark ranks 37th in the world and he has missed just one cut in 2010 to go with three top 10 finishes. With such long odds, Clark is a nice play that could have a big payoff.
The 2010 Masters Golf Tournament will be played at August National in Augusta, Georgia starting on Thursday, April 8 and concluding Sunday, April 11.
