The 2010 Transitions Championship will begin play on Thursday, and our team of writers and handicappers have three suggested picks for this weekend.
Steve Stricker 14/1
Stricker has finished in the top 15 of the last two events at this course, including a fourth place finish in 2009. Stricker is ranked second in the world and has finished in the top 10 in three of the last five events. Stricker has the experience of success on this course and the overall talent to be a top contender this weekend.
Padraig Harrington 18/1
Harrington is currently 10th in the world rankings and is coming off a third place finish last weekend. Harrington has struggled at times this year, but he seems to be making the turnaround as the tour nears the first major of the year. With 18/1 odds, Harrington is a solid play for the weekend.
Dustin Johnson 33/1
Johnson is ranked 29th in the world and has one win to his credit this year already. Johnson has missed just one cut this year while finishing in the top 20 in four events. He has finished in the top 20 14 times since the start of 2009. With 33/1 odds coming into the event, Johnson looks to be a solid play for a potentially big payday on Sunday.
The 2010 Transitions Championship will be played at Westin Innisbrook-Copperhead Course in Palma Harbor, Florida starting on Thursday, March 18 and concluding Sunday, March 21.
