2014 MLS Cup Odds to Win
LAS VEGAS, NV (The Spread) – The odds to win the MLS Cup in 2014 are out and the LA Galaxy are the clear favorite at 11/2.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the New York Red Bulls and Sporting Kansas City are both 6/1, respectively, to win the MLS Cup in 2014. Those odds are bested by only the Galaxy at 11/2, while the Portland Timbers are 7/1.
Continuing with the odds, the Seattle Sounders and Toronto FC are both 10/1, respectively, while the Real Salt Lake are 11/1. The Houston Dynamo are also 12/1 while the San Jose Earthquakes are 16/1 and the New England Revolution are 20/1. The Montreal Impact, meanwhile, are 25/1 to win the 2014 MLS Cup.
The long shots include the Columbus Crew, FC Dallas and Vancouver Whitecaps at 33/1, respectively, as well as the Chicago Fire and D.C. United at 40/1, respectively. The Philadelphia Union are 50/1, while the Chivas USA and Colorado Rapids both have the longest odds to win the MLS cup this year at 66/1.
Will the FC make the playoffs? The odds are -250 in their favor but +350 against the Whitecaps qualifying for the post season. The FC have an over/under of 50 for number of total points this season while the Whitecaps have an o/u of 45 points. The Impact, meanwhile, are +180 to make the playoffs and have an over/under of 47 for total points in 2014.
