Honda Classic Picks
The 2010 PGA Honda Classic will tee off Thursday morning and our team of writers and handicappers have three suggested picks for the tournament.
Robert Allenby 14/1
Allenby has been very solid at this tournament, placing in the top five in the last three years of this event. His recent play has also been strong as he has finished in the top 10 in five of his last seven events. Allenby is one of the pre-event favorites, but still has 14/1 odds to win, which could be a big payout for a victory on Sunday.
Y.E. Yang 25/1
Since winning the PGA Championship last year over Tiger Woods, Yang has continued to play solid golf. He hasn’t missed a cut in his last 19 events and his recent string has seen five top 20’s in his last six events. Yang is the defending champion of this tournament as well, and with 25/1 odds, he seems to be a good play for the weekend.
Anthony Kim 35/1
If you are really hoping to strike it big this weekend, Kim may be your man. Still one of the promising young stars of the tour, Kim is due for a victory. He has made his last seven cuts, finishing in the top 15 in four of those seven tournaments. Kim didn’t play in last year’s event and finished 49th in 2008, but in a wide open field with long odds, Kim can be a very profitable play this weekend.
