F1 Season Title Odds

The 2010 Formula 1 Season begins next weekend and the odds are out for which drivers will take this season’s championship.

Bet Formula 1 Odds
Former two-time Formula 1 series champion, Fernando Alonso is favored to win the 2010 championship.

Alonso is a 2/1 favorite to win the race according to oddsmakers at the online sports book Sportsbook.com. Other short odds to win are Sebastian Vettel (3/1), Lewis Hamilton (3/1), and Michael Schumacher (4/1).
Alonso was the series champion in 2005 and 2006, but finished ninth last year and was held without a single race victory. This season, Alonso is joining Ferrari, which is expected to make him a contender in each race.

Vettel finished second in the 2009 series, posing four victories for Red Bull Racing. Vettel’s second place finished was his best in three years of competition.

Hamilton won the season title in 2008, but finished fifth last year with Vodafone McLaren Mercedes. Hamilton won two races in 2009, which was his worst showing in three years in Formula 1.

Schumacher is making his return to Formula 1 full-time after a three-year layoff. Schumacher has won seven series championships in his career. Though most of his career was spent with Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro he will compete with Mercedes Grand Prix this season.
The 2010 Formula 1 season starts with the 2010 Bahrain Grand Prix on Sunday, March 14. Odds to win the 2010 Formula 1 Season Championship
