Combining jumping and cross-country skiing, the Men’s Nordic Combined Large Hill event will be a true test of endurance at the 2010 Winter Olympics.
According to vancouver2010.com, in this event, the jumping portion occurs first followed by a free technique cross-country race. Competitors begin with one ski jump on the large hill, followed by a 10-kilometre cross-country ski race which usually consists of four, 2.5 kilometer laps.
