Poulter wins tourny
Ian Poulter won for the first time on American soil as the Englishman captured the 2010 WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship by defeating Paul Casey 4&2 in the finals.
Poulter led the final 24 holes of play as he controlled the finals match with Casey all day. Poulter won $1.4 million for his efforts and now jumps up to fifth in the world rankings.
Casey lost in the finals of this event for the second-consecutive year. He entered the tournament with 20/1 odds.
Camilo Villegas defeated Sergio Garcia 5&4 in the consolation match to take third. Villegas had 70/1 odds to win the tournament.
