Updated Best Director Oscars Odds
LAS VEGAS, NV (The Spread) – Who will win an Oscar for Best Director at this year’s Academy Awards? Updated odds suggest that Alejandro Gonzalez will be taking home an Oscar this weekend.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, Gonzalez is a 4/7 favorite to win the Oscar for Best Director following his work on “Birdman.” Richard Linklater of “Boyhood” has the next-best odds to win Best Director at 11/10 while Wes Anderson of “The Grand Budapest Hotel” is 25/1.
Bennett Miller of “Foxcatcher”, meanwhile, is a 50/1 long shot to win the Oscar for Best Director, as is Morten Tyldum from “The Imitation Game.”
The last time Gonzalez was nominated for an Oscar was in 2007 for his work on “Babel,” which was up for an Academy Award in Best Motion Picture of the Year. Gonzalez was also nominated for “Best Achievement in Directing” for “Babel” as well.
