The 2010 Academy Awards will take place on March 7 and oddsmakers have released prop odds for Best Picture, Best Actor and much more.
Oddsmakers from online sports book BroburySports.com have made Avatar –250 money line favorites to win Best Picture at the 82nd Oscars. “The Hurt Locker,” a war drama, has the next best odds at +120.
The 2009 American science fiction epic film Avatar was written and directed by James Cameron, who is +120 to win Best Director although he isn’t the favorite to win the category. That honor belongs to Kathryn Bigelow, who directed The Hurt Locker and who is –350 on the money line.

The star of The Hurt Locker was Jeremy Renner, who is a +1400 money line underdog to win Best Actor. Jeff Bridges is favored to win Best Actor for his performance as a washed-out country star in “Crazy Heart.”
As for Best Actress, Sandra Bullock is a –225 favorite on the money line after her performance in “The Blind Side.” She bests Meryl Streep in “Julie & Julia” at +160 and Carey Mulligan in “An Education” at +1000.
The 2010 Academy Awards will take place on Sunday, March 7 at 8PM ET on ABC. Alec Baldwin and Steve Martin will host the 82nd Oscars this year.
