More than 80 events are slated for the Olympic games, and the United States is favored to walk out with the most hardware.

U.S.A. has odds of 1/1 to win the most medals according to online sports book Brobury Sports. Other short odds to win are Germany (21/20), Canada (3/2), and Russia (19/4).

The United States hasn’t finished better than second in the overall medal count in the last four Olympics, finishing runner-up to Germany in both 2006 and 2002. With an injury to Lindsey Vonn, one of the athletes considered to win multiple medals for the U.S., their medal count could take a hit.

Germany has won the last three Olympic medal counts and also took second in 1994.

Canada is the host country, so a little home-field advantage could be a boost for it. Canada has finished no better than third in the medal count over the last four Olympics.

Russia has finished fifth in the last two Olympics while taking third in 1998 and 1994.

The 2010 Winter Olympics take place from Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada beginning Friday, Feb. 12. and concluding Sunday, Feb. 28. For complete odds on which country will win the most medals, see below.
