According to oddsmakers from Bovada.lv, the Netherlands is the heavy favorite to win, as it has 1/4 odds. Other short odds to win are Canada (7/2) and Poland (10/1).
Netherlands has won the last two world championships in pursuit and finished second in 2011. The country is looking to rebound from the 2010 games, when it placed sixth.
Canada was the last country to top Netherlands in the world championships, winning in 2011 and placing second in 2012. Canada finished fifth at the 2010 Olympic games.
Poland finished second at the 2013 world championship and third in 2012. Poland won the bronze medal at the 2010 Olympics.
