According to oddsmakers from Bovada.lv, Lara Gut is the slight favorite to win, as she has 3/1 odds. Other short odds to win are Tina Weirather (4/1) and Maria Hoefl-Riesch (5/1).

Gut competes for Switzerland and she is seeking her first Olympic medal at the Sochi games. She finished second at the 2013 world championship in Super G.

Weirather competes for Liechtenstein. This is her first Olympic games as an injury forced her to miss in 2010. She hasn’t claimed a world championship medal in Super G, but she has won individual World Cup events in Super G.

Riesch competes for Germany. She is an Olympic champion, but not in Super G. Her best world championship finish in this event came in 2011, when she took third.
