Men's Downhill Skiing
Men’s Downhill Alpine Skiing is one of the opening events to the 2010 Winter Olympics, and the odds are out for who is expected to take the gold.
The men’s downhill skiing event features the highest speeds and longest courses in alpine skiing. Each athlete makes a single run down one course. The fastest time determines who will take home the gold medal.
Most favored in the 2010 Winter Olympics men’s downhill skiing is Swiss veteran, Didier Cuche. Cuche, 35, is favored to win the gold with the odds of 3/1 according to online sports book SPORTSBETTING.com.

Cuche, who says he will still be able to compete despite a broken right thumb, plans to compete in the 2010 Winter Olympics with a specially designed splint.
