SOCHI, Russia (The Spread) – The Women’s 1000 Meter in short track speed skating at the 2014 Olympics looks to have one women separating herself from the pack. Here is a look at the odds for this event.

According to oddsmakers from Bovada.lv, Suk Hee Shim is favored to win, as she has 4/5 odds. Other short odds to win are Kim A-Lang (5/1) and Seung-Hi Park (8/1).

Shim competes for South Korea. She is a former junior world champion but is new to the world scene on the next level. She has not medaled in this distance on the world stage.

Lang also competes for South Korea. She is making the jump from juniors competition, where she finished second in the overall world championship in 2013. She is competing in her first Olympics.

Park also competes for South Korea. She took home the bronze at the 2010 Olympics in this distance, but hasn’t been able to medal in the world championships in this distance since.
