According to oddsmakers from Bovada.lv, Tora Berger is the favorite to win this event, as she has 3/2 odds. Other short odds to win are Darya Domracheva (11/4) and Gabriela Soukalova (11/1).

Berger competes for Norway and she is an Olympic champion, but not in this event. She has won the 2013 world championship in the pursuit.

Domracheva competes for Belarus. She is seeking her first Olympic gold medal, but she was the 2012 world champion in the pursuit.
