Super Bowl line still a pick’em in Vegas
GLENDALE, AZ (The Spread) – Even though the line has moved in favor of the Seahawks online, Super Bowl XLIX is still a pick’em at many Vegas books.
As we wrote earlier, the Seahawks are now 1-point favorites over the Patriots for Super Bowl XLIX at many online sports books. But when you check the spreads at Vegas books, plenty of spots still list the line for tonight’s game as a pick’em, which is where the number has been for most of the week.
Oddsmakers at MGM Mirage, Wynn LV, Stations Casino & Sports Book and Westgate Superbook all list the line for the Super Bowl as a pick’em. The total, meanwhile, is sitting anywhere between 47 and 48, which is where it sits at Wynn LV.
Seattle opened as an early 3-point favorite but the line plummeted following New England’s impressive victory over Indianapolis in the AFC Championship Game. Within an hour of the Pats’ win over the Colts, the line for the Super Bowl was down to a pick’em. Throughout the week, books either left the line as a pick’em or listed New England at -1. And while many online books have moved the spread in favor of Seattle at -1, the game is mostly a pick’em in Las Vegas.
