Men’s 500m Speed Skating Odds
SOCHI, Russia (The Spread) – The Men’s 500-meter at the 2014 Olympics looks to be very much up for grabs. Here is a look at the odds to win the gold.

According to oddsmakers from Bovada.lv, Tae-Bum Mo is the slight favorite, as he has 3/1 odds. Other short odds to win are Michel Mulder (4/1) and Jan Smeekens (5/1).
Mo completes for South Korea and he won two medals at the 2010 Olympic games, including the gold in the 500 meter. He also has won the 2013 and 2012 world championship in the event.
Mulder competes for the Netherlands. He has yet to claim an Olympic medal in his career, but he did take home silver in the 500 meter at the 2012 world championships.
Smeekens also competes for the Netherlands. He has yet to claim an Olympic medal in his career, but he has won the bronze in the 2011 and 2013 world championships in the 500 meter.
