Farmers Open Picks
The 2010 Farmers Insurance Open will begin play Thursday, and our team of writers and handicappers have three suggested picks to play for this weekend.
Bet The 2010 Farmers Insurance Open
Phil Mickelson 6/1
Mickelson is a three-time winner of this event and he had played well recently, winning two of his last three tournaments. With the troubles Tiger Woods has been facing off the course, Mickelson can establish himself as the face of the PGA Tour in Woods’ absence. Mickelson is clearly the class of the field this weekend, and understandably is the favorite.
Lucas Glover 35/1
Glover finished third in last year’s event, which helped start a memorable 2009 where Glover won the U.S. Open. Glover struggled in his opening event of 2010, but prior to that, he finished in the top 15 in his last three outings. With 35/1 odds, Glover is a good play for this weekend.
Justin Rose 55/1
Rose struggled last weekend in the Bob Hope Classic, but he hasn’t missed cuts in back-to-back tournaments since the U.S. Open of last year. Rose has finished in the top 15 in five of his last eight events, including in his last three U.S. events before the Hope Classic. With such large odds, Rose is a nice play for this weekend.
The 2010 Farmers Insurance Open will be played at Torrey Pines North and Torrey Pines South in La Jolla, California starting on Thursday, Jan. 28 and concluding Sunday, Jan. 31.
