Trends favor Spurs over Lakers
SAN ANTONIO, TX (The Spread) – The news for the Lakers isn’t good on or off the court as they prepare to face the Spurs tonight at 8:30PM ET.
Off the court the Lakers confirmed on Friday that aging superstar Kobe Bryant has been diagnosed with a torn right rotator cuff. He’s expected to miss the rest of the season although the team will take this weekend to decide if Bryant’s injury will require surgery.
On the court the Lakers are massive underdogs tonight versus the Spurs, who have been solid at the betting window of late. According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, San Antonio is a 13.5-point home favorite for tonight’s game while the total is sitting at 198.5 points.
The Spurs are 4-1 against the spread in their last five games overall and a near-perfect 4-0-1 ATS in their last five games versus Western Conference foes. The Lakers, meanwhile, are a winless 0-4 against the number in their last four road games and are 0-5 ATS in their last five games versus Western Conference foes.
