Women’s 3000m Speed Skating Odds
SOCHI, Russia (The Spread) – The Women’s 3000 meter speed skating race at the 2014 Olympics has two equal favorites. Here is a look at the odds to win the gold in this event.

According to oddsmakers from Bovada.lv, both Ireen Wust and Martina Sablikova are the two favorites to win, as each has 1/1 odds. The other short odds to win gold is Claudia Pechstein (6/1).
Wust competes for the Netherlands. She won the gold medal in this event in the 2006 games but didn’t medal in 2010. She is the 2013 and 2011 world champion in the 3000 meter.
Sablikova competes for the Czech Republic and she was the 2010 gold medalist in this event. She also won the 2012 and 2007 world championships in the 3000 meter.
Pechstein competes for Germany. She was the 2002 gold medalist in this event, but hasn’t medaled in the event since at the Olympics. She also won the 2000 and 2004 world championship in the 3000 meter. She placed third in the 2013 world championship.
